Lance Evans

With over 20 years of experience in the funeral business, Lance has had the unique privilege of getting to know families that have gone through a loss. Working under many mentors he has found that helping a family design and erect a memorial for their loved one is not only a step in the process of healing but also a rewarding tribute. “I believe that a memorial is a very important final step to the funeral because it is a permanent tribute to an individual that will not only memorialize them forever, but also allow generations to realize the roots from which they came.”

A third generation funeral director and Ballston Spa native, Lance still resides in Ballston Spa with his wife and three daughters. In addition to running and operating Lance Evans Memorials, he works with his uncle, aunt and cousin at Armer Funeral Home, Inc. in Ballston Spa.

Creating a Lasting Tribute

A memorial made of granite or bronze is a lasting tribute to your loved one that will withstand the test of time. In any cemetery, one can see that memorials made of granite have lasted for over 100 years and the epitaph can still be read. With a cleaning, some of these can look like new again.

The Process:

The process of designing a memorial with Lance Evans Memorials starts with a consultation to find out what size and design memorial best suits your needs. Once a design is selected, a detailed drawing is presented to the customer showing exactly how it is laid out and, once approved, the memorial is made. Upon completion of the memorial, it is set on a concrete foundation at the site by hand. Pricing and consultation are available at no cost and I would be happy to meet with families in the comfort of their own homes.

Thanks very much, Lance. It was a pleasure meeting you. You were extremely knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and kind”
